Butter coffee: Will it give you extra energy -- or just make you fat?
Wed Jun 19, 2013
Because it's actually common in other parts of the world?
Sister who shaved head in solidarity told to wear wig at work
Mon Jun 17, 2013
First of all, I disagree with the owners, but it seems like something you would check with your bosses about first. I work in a company that has nothing to do with fashion and even we have a basic dress code that I would need to run this by them first, and they'd probably be cool with it. But you AS …
Census: White majority in U.S. gone by 2043
Thu Jun 13, 2013
All this proves is that whites think about birth control and not about having anchor and welfare babies. Congratulations.
Thieves ransack homes of families attending funerals
Wed Jun 12, 2013
I can'tremember how it came up, but I remember a high school teacher in a writing class telling us that the reason home addresses weren't listed in obits to receive flowers and cards was because they could be targeted by theives. This was 30 years ago, and even then it had been a long-standing tradi …
Another day on the Plains: storms, flash floods, twister danger
Wed Jun 5, 2013
Kota - how many people have died in tornadoes in the last two weeks? I don't think NBC has the money to fake all those deaths, footage and storm damage for "ratings.". Maybe you're one of these people who also thinks we faked the moon landing? @Rex - perhaps $50 - $60 k for a large shelter to accomo …
John Galliano: 'I didn't mean' anti-Semitic remarks
Tue Jun 4, 2013
Well, it makes sense that if you are in self-destruct mode you going to do the worst thing possible in order to succeed, but I'm also a big believer in "in vino veritas." Twice I've broken up with men who said the most sexist, racist b.s. when they had too much to drink - which wasn't …
Storm chaser: 'I don't know' if I'll go back after ordeal
Mon Jun 3, 2013
Mike Bettes, who narrowly escaped a harrowing tumble in his truck during an Okla. tornado... Seriously? He didn't narrowly escape anything - he was harrowingly tumbled in his truck when it was thrown 200 yards. Who writes this?
Facebook agrees to block sexual assault 'humor'
Tue May 28, 2013
Dafthart - the problem with your restaurant analogy is that the person posting the "humorous" abuse status or meme isn't affecting the public. They are available only to those who suscribe to this person's feed. I know one person who posts jokes like that, we were all shocked (he's the brother of a …
Arias jury hung on penalty phase
Thu May 23, 2013
Sounds to me like the majority ofthe jury was in favor of the death penalty. Had it been the other way around, I doubt a juror would dig their heels in and insist on the death penalty knowing what a penalty trial would do to the victim's family. They've suffered enough.
Tornado birth: Mom endures labor as twister destroys hospital
Wed May 22, 2013
Geezam - I thought that kind of thing only happened on Grey's Anatomy.

Are Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang too mean for today's kids? Good grief!
Telling us what we can or can't watch is just another form of bullying. Seriously, this person is missing the message. I haven't watched the Great Pumpkin in years, but in the Christmas special, in the end he is appreciated by his peers for doing the right thing. That's the message that resonated w …
